JAM Crokicurl Rules for Bar Games
Game Time
All Crokicurl matches are approximately 55 minutes in length. Please arrive early to ensure you get the full use of your allotted time. Regardless of when your game begins your game will always end on time to allow succeeding games to begin at their scheduled time.
- Time keeping: The on-site JAM Ambassador will keep track of time, and will determine the end of your game. Teams will receive a 5 minute warning and signal the end of the game.
- Defaults: Teams will default a match if they cannot provide a full team 10 minutes after the scheduled start of their match.
Players
Teams are comprised of up to four (4) players at a time.
- Gender Numbers: There are no gender requirements for whom plays at a time.
- Defaults: On top of the timing requirements noted above. A team cannot play with less that two players.
Playing Area
All Crokicurl games will take place on the provided Crokicurl ice at Belgian Moon Brewery @ stackt.
Equipment/set up
All Rocks for Crokicurl are provided by stackt market.
Crokicurl 101
The following outlines the basic rules for this Crokicurl event:
Starting the Game and General Rules:
- A coin toss or a winner takes all Rock-paper-scissors game game will determine the team who starts the game.
- If there are no rocks on the ice, a team may aim for the middle button. If the team is successful in scoring, the rock is removed and set aside to count as 20 points and the end of the round. (i.e: The team going first may go for the middle button, if they score, the other team may also attempt to go for the middle button)
- Subsequent shots attempt to remove an opponent’s rocks from the playing surface, unless there are no rocks on the ice.
- If you shoot and your rock fails to make contact with an opponent's rock it is removed from the game and no points are counted.
- Play proceeds in a clockwise fashion, alternating teams and players.
- Scoring occurs each round after all rocks have been played by tallying the total of your rocks on the ice plus any 20 point shots.
- The team with the highest score wins the round. The team that wins the most rounds in the time allotted wins the overall match.

Ties and Playoff rules
- Round Robin matches can end in a tie. A point will be awarded to each team.
- In the event of an overall match tie in the playoffs, the teams will play a one shot winner take all tie breaker.
- Each team will select a player to take one shot, the team with the highest score on the ice at the end of the two throws will be declared the overall match winner.
